When we watched cartoons as kids or adults (let’s admit it), there were always things that we wondered about. Some characters never revealed their faces, and some questions remained unanswered — or so we thought.

We at Here found the answers to some of these questions. Read until the end to resolve the mysteries in some well-known cartoons.

1. Krabby Patty secret formula

If you’ve ever watched SpongeBob, you know that the Krabby Patty is a popular burger served at the Krusty Krab. In one of the episodes, the secret formula for the burger can be seen with the ingredients shown as random gibberish.

Some fans believe that the secret ingredient is actually crab, while others state that there is no secret formula at all, and it was made up to keep Plankton occupied.

2. The name of Comic Book Guy

Comic Book Guy is a character in The Simpsons whose name was kept secret for many seasons. Finally, in the episode “Homer and Ned’s Hail Mary Pass,” Comic Book Guy reveals, “My name is Jeff Albertson, but everyone calls me Comic Book Guy.”

3. The face of Mammy Two Shoes

The owner of Tom in the famous Tom and Jerry cartoon appeared in many episodes, but viewers never had a chance to see her face. Or did they? In the episode “Saturday Evening Puss,” we see her going to church with her face finally revealed. Did you know that her appearances were often edited out or re-animated as a slim white woman in later showings?

4. The full face of Kenny

Kenny McCormick, one of the lead characters in South Park, always appears in his tightly wrapped hood, and you can hardly hear his voice when he speaks. His face can be seen in the feature film South Park: Bigger, Longer, & Uncut. Surprisingly, he looks like a normal kid with a bunch of messy blond hair.

5. The face of Sara Bellum

Another character whose face was almost never shown is the mayor deputy Sara Bellum from the 1998 cartoon series Powerpuff Girls. She always appears in a red suit, wearing red shoes with high heels. Her face was revealed only once during the whole show. Did you miss this episode?

6. Andy’s dad in Toy Story

Although there is no proof in the movies themselves, some fans believe that Andy’s dad left the family and that his parents are going through a divorce during the first movie. Another theory states that Andy’s dad, whose name was also Andy, died, and his toys passed to his son.

7. Shaggy’s name in Scooby-Doo

It turns out that the famous Shaggy, the owner of Scooby-Doo, has a rather proper real name: Norville Rogers. Shaggy is only a nickname that suits his appearance.

8. Dexter’s finances and accent

Many have probably wondered how big Dexter’s electricity bill is and how he pays for his fancy lab equipment. There are no clear answers, only some hints in the series and fan theories. Some believe that he is selling his inventions to NASA and buying equipment from them.

The question about the accent is easier: according to the creators, all well-known scientists have an accent, and Dexter is one of them.

9. Mickey and Minnie’s marriage

You didn’t miss it! Mickey and Minnie have never been married on-screen. But in an interview in 1933, Walt Disney admitted that “in private life” Mickey is married to Minnie. To make it even more romantic, the actor who voiced Mickey and the actress who voiced Minnie married in real life in 1991.

10. The Carpet’s name in Aladdin

This is probably not a question that bothered you much, but, according to some sources, the Carpet in Aladdin does have a real name, albeit only an “internal” one used among the creators. The Carpet’s actual name is Ralph.
